Engineers at Techlite Insulation have designed and developed an innovative way to insulate large piping called the VX System. The VX Insulation system starts as flat sheet Techlite melamine foam that is then precision cut to you O/D and wall thickness specifications.
The VX System will more easily wrap around pipes while providing a significant cost savings to the standard pre-formed pipe insulation sections offered for larger pipes. In many case the VX insulation system can cut costs by up to 50% or more! The VX insulation system profile allows for very easy installation around large pipes, ducts, tanks and vessels.
Installation is easily accomplished by a single installer for pipes and tubes. The ship-lap joint used in this patented Techlite pre-formed insulation system is still incorporated into this design in order to provide a secure seam.
The VX insulation system is only available pre-jacketed in your choice of ASJ, 300 Series reinforced flexible PVC or 8000 Series rigid, glossy, sanitary PVC jackets. VX insulation is available for pipe sizes ranging from 6" diameter and up , including large tanks and vessels.
